More Info On Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing was first launched back in 2004 on BBC One and was originally hosted by Tess Daley and Bruce Forsyth. From 2014, Claudia Winkleman has been presenting the show with Tess Daley.
Each week, the couples will train for a specific type of dance before getting out on the dancefloor on Saturday nights to compete. They will be awarded marks out of ten by four judges who are currently Dame Darcey Bussell, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.
The public can then vote once lines open to keep their favourite couple in and help them get through to the following week. Some of the most iconic dances that the contestants will be asked to perform are the Tango, Rumba, Jazz, Cha Cha Cha and the American Smooth.
The Strictly Come Dancing cast also embark on a big tour of the United Kingdom in the new year once the show is over and the winner has been announced.
